Baileys to Sponsor ELOY Awards 2014

Irish cream liqueur, Baileys, has announced its partnership with Exquisite Magazine, organizers of the Exquisite Ladies of the Year (ELOY) Awards to sponsor the 2014 award ceremony, slated for November 30, 2014 at Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos.

Diageo Brands Nigeria, makers of Baileys Irish Cream, says that this year’s sponsorship, which is coming on the heels of last year’s successful outing, is a testimonial of the mutual benefits both partners enjoyed from previous events.

 

The Head of Spirits, Marketing & Ready-to-Drink (RTD) for Diageo Brands Nigeria, Liz Ashdown, disclosed this recently in a press statement, saying it’s a great opportunity for Baileys to get involved again this year in view of the success recorded last year.

“Baileys is excited to be a part of this grand event that inspires, celebrates and toasts to the success of every Baileys woman out there. We are delighted to be able to partner with ELOY Awards again this year following the success of last year’s event and over the next few weeks, we will be releasing information on the different activities lined up prior to the awards ceremony in November,” Ashdown said.

As part of efforts to engender consumers participation, Ashdown announced that consumers of Baileys, especially ladies, will get the opportunity to attend the award ceremony by participating in the Baileys social media activity where they will be required to take a ‘#BaileysSelfie’ and upload on Baileys Facebook page to get a ticket to the event.

The ELOY Awards, which is in its sixth edition since 2009, is aimed at creating a hub for recognizing great women, who have grown from their humble beginning to become people other women admire and emulate. It also seeks to celebrate their success while rewarding their outstanding contribution to the society.

Tewa Onasanya, Publisher of the Exquisite Magazine, organizers of the awards ceremony, informed that the criteria for selecting nominees for each 15 different award categories have been announced.

“The criteria for the ELOY Awards focuses on the character of the individual, her ability, achievements and how her work impacts the Nigerian society through direct and indirect leadership, service, commitment, integrity and we look forward to celebrating all nominees and winners,” she said.
