TECNO out with Q1 Smartphone

TECNO Mobile has launched its exciting, new Q1 phone into the Nigerian market. The TECNO Q1 is a dual sim, dual-core processor Smartphone that runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System.

The TECNO Public Relations Manager – Africa, Boukali Mounir, explained that Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is the latest version of the Android platform for phones and tablets and builds on the things people love most about Android, such as social networking on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as easy multitasking. Also offering rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and deep interactivity, the TECNO Q1 opens up its consumers to powerful new ways of communicating and sharing.

Boasting touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, speedy 3G connections and a 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, the Q1 assures users of faster downloads of apps and games, better call quality, streaming video and audio services, and a swift "always on" connection.  The phone also includes dual camera function.

Mounir noted that the TECNO Q1 offer users the opportunity to customize their home screen “which is a new way for you to group your apps and shortcuts logically, just by dragging one onto another. Also, in All Apps launcher, you can now simply drag an application to get information about it or immediately uninstall it, or disable a pre-installed app” he said.
