Etisalat Extends Entries for Geek Force Internship Contest

Etisalat Nigeria has announced the extension of its Geek Force Internship contest for another one week starting from the 17th June to 24th June, 2013 to allow for more participants to apply for a chance to become an Etisalat ‘Geek’. The contest which started on the 22nd of May has recorded a lot of entries from young graduates who believe they have what it takes to be a part of Nigeria’s most innovative telecommunications company.

Speaking on the development, Director, Retail Sales, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Charles Ogunwuyi said the extension became necessary following the clamour for an extension from across the country. As a result, he said, the company decided to extend the entry period to accommodate more entries.

“This is a unique and innovative customer engagement initiative platform we are using to reach out to our customers and Nigerians in general. At Etisalat, our customers are at the heart of our decisions and we will continually explore ways to satisfy our customers; in terms of our quality of service, products and nouvelle programmes such as the Geek Force Internship,” he said. To participate, he advised interested customers to apply through www.etisalat.com.ng/geekforceinternship, and upload their application, along with a passport photo and NYSC their discharge certificate, while those who may be seeking clarifications are advised to contact geekinternship@etislat.com.ng.

The Etisalat Geek Force Internship programme is seeking people with demonstrable level of familiarity and proficiency with Web 2.0 social networking and collaboration technologies, including the internet, social media, discussion boards, blogs, and video sharing, in addition to the minimum academic qualification of a university degree or equivalent.
