TRUCK DRIVER WINS BRAND NEW CAR IN ACCION BRIGHTA SAVE PROMO

It was a day of winnings and merriment for customers of Accion Microfinance Bank who won various prizes at the Grand Finale Draw of Accion Brighta Save Promo. The star prize winner Mr. Nofiu Fadipe Eniola went home smiling with a brand new Kia Picanto. Completely overwhelmed with emotions as he kept muttering “This can only be God!”, the winner was full of praises for Accion Microfinance Bank thanking them profusely for the car gift. Mr. Nofiu Fadipe Eniola; a savings customer with the Idi-Oro branch earns his living as a truck driver started his banking relationship with Accion Microfinance Bank in March this year and he has been saving consistently since then. He encouraged people to save with Accion Microfinance Bank because they are reliable and secured.

The second prize winner made home with a tricycle while the third prize winner smiled home with a Refrigerator. Three customers of Idi Oro, Idumagbo and Ikeja were winners of the Grand Draw as 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners respectively. Seventeen customers also got consolation prizes for the grand draw, having qualified with a growth amount of N100,000.00 between 31st July 2012 and May 2013.

There were also 3 Star Prizes and 18 Consolation prizes for the Monthly Draw for the month of May 2013. The clients of BBA, Idi Oro and Alaba were 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners respectively. These were clients that had a net growth of 

N10,000.00 between April and May 2013.
All the grand prizes have been collected as well. The other Star prize winners and the consolation prize winners that were absent will be contacted for collection of their prizes from the Head Office.   

It is our strong hope that the witnesses of the program and the mobile Grand Prize Winners will add a boost to the deposit mobilisation drive of the Bank.

The Accion Brighta Save Promo is premised on the belief that building savings culture for micro entrepreneurs and low income earners is important, as it provides security in time of emergencies and safety nets for the future. Through savings, they are able to accumulate capital and invest in capital asset as opposed to consumption and depletion of wealth.

As opposed to the general believe that poor people don’t save, research and studies have continued to show that the poor have their way of saving and there are enormous potentials to be tapped in this market segment.

With over 90,000 clients, Accion Microfinance Bank aims to grow its savings volume from N450m to N 884m. This savings mobilization is targeted at the target market of AMfB which is the micro and small entrepreneurs as the bank keep striving to empower them through its various products and offerings such as the health insurance, life insurance, fire and robbery insurance.

Having created employment for a total of over 462 staff spread across 18 eighteen branches and the Head Office, total assets worth in excess of N2.8Bn and gross loan portfolio of over N2.4Bn, Accion Microfinance Bank, has disbursed loans well over N16Bn since inception to over 133,000 customers.
