Curse Thirsty Robbers Invade Prayer City Bank
"My house shall be called a house of prayers but you have made it a den of robbers". this case it not associated with the worshippers but it was an act perpetrated by some fearless hungry men who defiled the holy ground for their selfish gains.
It was shocking when a 'curse thirsty' gang of robbers invaded an Ecobank
located in the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries’ Prayer City on the
Magboro end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was attacked by an 8-man robbery
gang on Thursday.
According to report, the
robbers who came into the church through the bush, used a ladder to climb into
the premises of the bank at about 1a.m. while the church was holding a vigil.
The beat up the guards on duty and shot one of them. After which they made for
one of the Automated Teller Machines and attacked it,though they did not
succeed in removing any money.
A policeman who was in the
church premises heard the gunshots and alerted the Ibafo Police Division who
rushed down to the scene. They exchanged bullets with the robbers who later
fled.
Police investigations further
revealed that the robbers had dropped their tools at the scene prior to the
robbery.
Confirming the incident, the
Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, Muyiwa Adejobi said there
were reasons to believe the robbery was done with the help of an insider.
He said, “There was a robbery at a bank
at MFM Prayer City, one Inspector Austine Chukwurah led a team of policemen to
the scene and foiled the robbery. One guard was shot and has been taken to the
hospital.”
However, the Assembly Pastor of
the church, Pastor Erhabor denied that there was any robbery on the
premises.
