Victoria Beckham In South Africa For 'Born Free of HIV' Project
The former Spice Girls has already spent two days in Cape
Town and she describes her trip 'educating and inspiring.'
According to MailOnline, her rep said "It was a whirlwind
trip, however Victoria was inspired and motivated by the wonderful people she
met and will continue her support to help raise awareness of the objective to
end mother to child transmission of HIV".
Reports claim the 39 year old has been to theChildren’s Infectious Disease Clinical
Research Unit in Cape Town to check out child victims of the virus
and chit chat with the medical team. She later took to twitter and posted,
"Thank you @bornfreeafrica and the inspiring doctors, mothers and children
that I met today. #JoinBornFree x vb"
She also wrote: "thanks @UNAIDS @m2mtweets @florencengobeni
for sharing your incredible work to eliminate mother to child transmission of
HIV x vb."
Appreciating the brunette’s visit to
the Mother2Mother home, Dr. Mitch
Besser, founder of Mothers2Mothers and
the husband of HIV and Aids activist, Annie Lennox, said: "We are at the cusp of seeing the dream
of an HIV-free generation become a reality and need dedicated and compassionate
people likeVictoria Beckham to
spread the word."
