Konga excites customers with ‘Make a Wish’ campaign

Nigeria’s largest online mall, Konga, has commenced its Christmas reward programme, giving away lots of surprise gifts to customers who spend N100, 000 or more shopping from the great deals on its site from December 9, 2014. The give-away which started last week will come to an end December 20.

The programme, tagged ‘Make a Wish’ campaign is aimed at enlivening the Yuletide celebrations for its customers by delivering to them their wish come true.

In a related development, Konga, over the weekend in Lagos, brought joy to children and families through its sponsorship of the Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) annual Children’s Christmas party.  The party threw a challenge to the children and the winner of the challenge and the first runner’s up won gift vouchers worth N20, 000 and N10, 000 respectively to shop from Konga.

According to Olatomiwa Akande, Head of PR and Brand Management, the company has a culture of exciting its customers – both young and old - as a way of appreciating them, especially during festive periods like the yuletide season.

She said: “Christmas is a very special time of the year; it is a period where people share love, warmth and joy. It’s always a time to share in gifting. That’s why we have decided to surprise some of our customers by making their wishes come true this season. To qualify for this special offer, all our customers need to do is check out our Christmas offers on Konga.com, purchase items for as much as N100, 000 within the period of the give-away, and fill out their wishes on a form on the site.”

She further explained that three winners will emerge everyday for 11 days while five winners will emerge on the twelfth day of the giveaway.


Olatomiwa explained the rationale behind the company’s sponsorship of the Wale Adenuga Productions’ Children Christmas party saying that it was a way of giving these little ones a sense of belonging during the season.
