… And Balotelli Returns Home

A successful medicals today will see the final exit of Mario Baloteli return to his home country where he last played club football at the age of 19 and winning a trebble with Inter under the aegis Murinho.

His dramatic reign in Manchester City for about 30 months saw him feature in 80 matches and scoring 30 goals as against his 50 matches and 20 goals in Inter Milan.

The move by the  Rossoneri to sign Balotelli is considered the biggest step the club is taking in recent times after the loss of big names such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Samuel Eto’o, Wesley Sneijder and Thiago Silva.

With the return of  Balotelli, headlines both on and off the pitch are guaranteed for both the club and the entire Serie A. His presence in AC Milan will spur back a glimmer of the spotlight which has gradually found itself focused away from Serie A over recent years.

He is one of the most marketable faces in modern football, and as such represents the perfect opportunity for Serie A to flaunt its greatest wares in a way in which it has so far failed.

The attention of modern football supporters are drawn mainly to talented and controversial figures, which has been a rule of football and is ever more so in these days of such widespread scrutiny.

It is obvious that the 22 years old star’s move from the City of Etihad to AC Milan will reigniting the dwindling flame that once burnt so brightly in Serie A.\

Mario will definitely be missed in the entire EPL as he is a unique character that added spice to EPL.
