VC, Students Laud Etisalat Cliqfest Initiative
The Vice Chancellor, Kogi State University, Ayingba, Kogi State,
Professor Hassan Isah and students of the institution have commended Etisalat
Nigeria for its youth-centric and educative initiative that supports all-round
development of the Nigerian youth called Etisalat Cliqfest. The
commendation was made at the two-day Cliqfest programme, held at the university
premises last weekend.
Professor Isah used the occasion to
highlight his belief in the youth and emphasized that the institution will
continue to give its support to initiatives geared towards youth development in
the country. According to him, “I see the Etisalat Cliqfest programme as
focused, purposeful and useful for the development of our youth. Such
initiative should have the support of all those who are passionate about the
progress of our nation because the youths are the pillar upon which a nation’s
future is built.”
Another commendation for the initiative
came from the grand prize winner of a brand new Kia Picanto, John Hannah, a 100
level Business Administration student from the institution. In her words: “I
appreciate Etisalat so much for bringing this programme to our school. I have
been praying to win this car since the first day I heard about the event and I
am so happy that my dream has come true today”
Speaking on behalf of the brand, Manager
Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Idiare Atimomo, said “Etisalat Cliqfest is an
educational, entertainment and reward initiative, targeted at Nigerian
Students. We have packaged this programme in such a way that it affords the student
a chance of an all-round development. It is our own way of giving them
the opportunities to identify with their passion, have fun while learning and
experience Etisalat’s youth product - Easycliq.”
The programme was spiced-up with musical
performances from popular Nigerian Hip-Hop artistes May D and Dammy Krane.
