Diageo rewards customers with 2014 KIA Sorento, Hyundai power generating sets

Diageo Brands Nigeria has doled out a 2014 KIA Sorento car and a 4.5KVA Hyundai power generating sets to its wholesalers during a raffle draw event which held last weekend in Lagos. This is part of the company’s tradition of recognizing and incentivising its customers across the country.

It will be recalled that the company rewarded two of its wholesalers with 2014 models of KIA cars in August and September 2014 while others won sets of power generating machines and deep freezers.

According to Liz Ashdown, Head of Spirits, Marketing & Ready-to-Drink (RTD) for Diageo Brands Nigeria, the promo will stretch till December 2014 so as to engender more wholesalers to buy more cases of Baileys and Johnnie Walker, and qualify to win the star prize and other consolation prizes.

“The winners participated in a raffle draw at the event which had 22 wholesalers from across the country in attendance. The draw saw Nonso Okonkwo of Nolly Global Limited, Lagos Island emerge winner of a KIA Sorento 2014 model, while Anugwu Ebuka Peter of Agbeni Market, Ibadan; Benneth Aniekwe of Bengold Int’l Limited, Lagos Island and Ifechukwu Blessed of Blessed Celestine Stores, Aba won a power generating set each,” Ashdown said.

Commenting on the rationale for the promo, Kayode Oluwo, Commercial Planning and Activation Manager, Diageo Brands Nigeria, said the aim was to reward wholesaler on a monthly basis with gifts and ensure they get a return on investment on all Diageo Brands.

The wholesalers registered their appreciation with Diageo for the recognition it gave to them and commended the company for identifying with its customers.
